Gratitude

When someone does something nice for us, we should acknowledge the benefit we received by expressing gratitude, thankfulness and appreciation. It is a positive emotion that benefits both the giver and receiver. Studies suggest that people who are more grateful have higher levels of well-being, are happier, less depressed, less stressed, are more satisfied with their lives and relationships and sleep better. Another study, showed restaurant patrons gave bigger tips when servers wrote “Thank you” on their checks.
