Family Flying

Planning a family vacation? Before leaving, discuss your vacation with the kids and the behaviour you expect. Rather than be “corrected” when they have done something wrong, children prefer to know ahead of time.

Here are a few travel tips just for kids:

• Pack a bag with some items to amuse yourself.
• Be patient while waiting and sit quietly with your belongings at your feet.
• Be careful not to jostle people with your baggage
• Speak quietly and avoid making noise or laughing loudly.
• Check behind you before adjusting your seat backwards.
• Don’t kick the seat ahead of you or wander up and down the aisles.
• Wait your turn for the bathroom and clean up after yourself.
• Be considerate of airline personnel and thank them when you deplane
