Exercise Your Etiquette Too

Exercise Your Etiquette Too

Membership in a fitness club brings entitlement but you aren’t entitled to be inconsiderate, rude, disrespect other members or leave your stuff lying all over the place. As a member you need to exercise your good manners too.

• Dress appropriately; according to the club’s guidelines.
• Don’t wear street shoes to workout.
• Follow the club’s time lines for equipment.
• If you schedule time with an instructor, be on time.
• Wipe off equipment after use or use a towel to prevent skin-to-vinyl contact.
• Keep personal items in your locker and off the workout floor.
• Leave your cell phone turned off in your locker or in your car.
• Clean up after yourself; put towels in the laundry receptacle, remove personal toiletries and rinse out the sink.
• Complete bodily functions in the appropriate place.
• Return weights and other equipment to the racks.
• Respect other members’ privacy, time and personal boundaries.
